Reason for decision |
This report is a comment on a proposal (see below) by Network Rail and as such has no direct impact on people with protected characteristics. Discussions with Network Rail have shown that they have considered any equalities issues and have acted accordingly.
An existing level crossing and footbridge being replaced by a new footbridge and new road and road bridge including footpath, though a longer route round should make it easier and safer for all to access the houses on Rose Lane and for landowners (agricultural) to access their land and close two User Worked Crossings. The work will enable the railway to be electrified, improving journey times and reliability of the railway encouraging modal shift to rail, whilst making it safer for all users.
